This privacy policy describes how SIRÈNE OOONO ApS processes your personal data regarding your use of the Sirène app or other interactions with SIRÈNE OOONO.

3. Purpose and categories of personal data

Below you can read about SIRÈNE OOONO's processing of personal data in a number of different situations. Please note that several of these situations may be relevant to you.

3.1. Purchasing products

When you purchase products from SIRÈNE OOONO, SIRÈNE OOONO needs your name, address, e-mail, telephone number, payment information and order details in order to process an order and deliver the purchased product.

The purpose is for SIRÈNE OOONO to deliver the product ordered and also manage any returns and complaints.

The processing of your personal data is based on the fulfilment of a contract with you, cf. Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). SIRÈNE OOONO also processes your personal data in order to comply with legal provisions, including the Bookkeeping Act, cf. Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR.

3.2. Creating a user profile in the Sirène app and using the app

When you create a user profile in the Sirène app, SIRÈNE OOONO records information about you as a person. The information SIRÈNE OOONO requires upon registration is; Name, e-mail, age and gender.

Collection of the above information is necessary to fulfil the agreement entered into between you and SIRÈNE OOONO ApS regarding your use of the app as a Connection and/or Carrier. This is based on Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR. If you do not wish to provide this information to SIRÈNE OOONO ApS, you cannot create a user profile.

We will also use your e-mail to send you information about updates and news regarding SIRÈNE OOONO. This is done on the basis of Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR, as SIRÈNE OOONO ApS has a legitimate interest in sending information about the product to ensure the optimal use of SIRÈNE OOONO.

When you use the app as a Carrier or Connection, SIRÈNE OOONO ApS collects your location data (geographical location) and your photo via the app. Sharing your location with other Connections/Carriers only happens when you actively confirm that you want this regarding a specific alarm.

Location data is collected and used in order to provide the agreed security function, which includes location monitoring as functionality, cf. Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

The collection and use of your photo is done in order to pursue a legitimate interest in allowing users of the app to identify each other in case of emergency, cf. Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.

When an alarm is triggered, location data is saved for the Carrier and any Connections that have been activated regarding the event. Our legal basis for this is Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR and our legitimate interest in ensuring documentation of the process and defence against any legal claims.

3.3. Statistics to improve and optimise services

When you visit the SIRÈNE OOONO website or use the Sirène app, SIRÈNE OOONO processes information about you and your use of the website or Sirène app.

The information that SIRÈNE OOONO collects about you when you use the Sirène app is your user ID, your IP address, your network location and information about your device, including, among other things, phone model and operating system of your mobile device.

When you visit the SIRÈNE OOONO website, SIRÈNE OOONO also collects information about the type of browser and device you use.

The purpose of collecting the above information is to generate useful and accurate statistics in order to improve and optimise the content of SIRÈNE OOONO's services and to answer your questions in SIRÈNE OOONO's support.

The collection is based on a legitimate interest in answering your questions via chat messages on SIRÈNE OOONO's website, and also to improve and optimise SIRÈNE OOONO's services, cf. Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.

3.4. Social media

SIRÈNE OOONO ApS is active on several social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn. If you choose to interact with SIRÈNE OOONO on SIRÈNE OOONO's social media platforms, you make information available to SIRÈNE OOONO and the social media, e.g. when you react to SIRÈNE OOONO's posts, comment or share them, just as SIRÈNE OOONO processes information that you "like" Sirène or follow SIRÈNE OOONO on social media.

The legal basis for the processing is Sirène's legitimate interest in marketing SIRÈNE OOONO on social media, cf. Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.

You are encouraged to read the applicable privacy policy provided by the media you have used to visit and interact with our profile regarding the processing of your personal data by these media.

3.5. Marketing

For the purpose of targeting marketing material, including advertising via social media, SIRÈNE OOONO ApS uses your name, e-mail, and country.

Collection of the above information is based on a legitimate interest in sending you marketing material, cf. Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR.

3.6. Newsletter subscription

SIRÈNE OOONO ApS uses your e-mail, name and postcode to send you newsletters with marketing regarding Sirène, provided that you have given your consent to receive electronic marketing by e-mail.

Use of your data for the purpose of sending newsletters is based on your consent, cf. Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR. Consent can be withdrawn at any time.

3.7. Support

If you choose to use Sirène's support solutions (by telephone or e-mail) concerning questions regarding the use of Sirène's service, SIRÈNE OOONO ApS will use your e-mail and the other information you provide to Sirène. Collection is for the purpose of responding to your support enquiry to SIRÈNE OOONO.

Collection of the above information is necessary to fulfil the agreement between you and SIRÈNE OOONO ApS regarding your use of SIRÈNE OOONO's services and support. This is based on Article 6(1)(b) of the GDPR.

4. Sources from which SIRÈNE OOONO collects information

SIRÈNE OOONO collects personal data directly from you and the device (smartphone) you use the Sirène app on.

5. Who is the personal data disclosed to

SIRÈNE OOONO uses external companies as providers in order to deliver SIRÈNE OOONO's services in the best possible way. These external providers are data processors and process your personal data in connection with their provision of services to us.

SIRÈNE OOONO's data processors only process personal data according to SIRÈNE OOONO's instructions and in accordance with legal requirements for data processors.

6. Storage period

SIRÈNE OOONO will retain personal data for as long as necessary for the purposes mentioned.

As a general rule, when purchasing on SIRÈNE OOONO's website, the data is stored for three years after the purchase has been made, but in special cases there may be shorter or longer storage periods, including but not limited to compliance with legal requirements for deletion or storage.

Personal data collected through your creation as a user of the Sirène app is stored for as long as you are a user of the app.

Personal data in the Sirène app regarding an incident, including the time of an alarm triggered and Connections that are activated, is stored for six months after the incident.

In special cases, SIRÈNE OOONO may store your personal data for longer.

SIRÈNE OOONO stores information about your marketing consent for two years after the consent has been last used or withdrawn.

Some data is stored in anonymised form for statistical purposes. This is not personally identifiable information.

7. Confidentiality

7.1 Your personal data will be treated as confidential. Your data will only be processed for the purposes stated in this privacy policy. SIRÈNE OOONO also has authorisation and access restrictions that ensure that personal data can only be accessed by relevant employees who also have a duty of confidentiality and are instructed in handling personal data.

8. Your rights

8.1. You have the following rights:

  • The right to insight. You have the right to request information or access to your personal data from SIRÈNE OOONO. However, there are exceptions, which means that you do not always receive all the data that SIRÈNE OOONO processes.
  • The right to rectification. You have the right to have inaccurate personal data about you rectified. You also have the right to have personal data that you believe is incomplete completed.
  • The right to deletion. In certain cases, you have the right to request the deletion of your personal data.
  • The right to restrict processing. You have the right to have the processing of your personal data restricted in certain cases.
  • The right to object. You have the right to object to SIRÈNE OOONO's processing of your personal data. This means that you can stop or prevent SIRÈNE OOONO from processing your personal data. However, this only applies in certain cases and SIRÈNE OOONO does not have to stop processing your personal data if SIRÈNE OOONO can provide legitimate grounds to continue processing it.
